The Servette mining site, a true open-air museum, has been operational since 2015.

The mine has a long history of mining pyrite and chalcopyrite, which began back in Roman times and continued throughout the Middle Ages, through to the modern era. The tour follows the ancient route travelled by sledges to transport ore, the remains of the old Trèves smelter, old buildings and mining tunnels that also document the special way the millstones were produced.

You will also see the incredible geological phenomenon of the “eve verda” (green waters) of the brook downstream of the Chuc mine: a mineral deposited on the bed of the small stream gives the waters coming out of the mine tunnel an unexpected bright turquoise colour, amazing everyone that visits.
