In Isola della Scala, rice is cultivated for the production of the Vialone Nano variety. The tour includes a visit to an ancient mill dating back to 1650, where to this day rice is still whitened using 16th-century machinery. It is a true gem of this territory, unique to its kind, safeguarded by the Superintendency of Cultural Heritage as a historical monument with protected landscape.

The tour is followed by a visit to the wellhead with an explanation of the process from sowing through to the harvest.

The group then heads up to the restaurant for a show cooking session, where participants will discover the chef’s secrets for preparing a top risotto at home. The chef will in fact explain the cooking technique devised by the owner of the company, and famous all over the world.

Afterwards, there will be a lunch for the entire group with rice as the protagonist, from the starter through to dessert.
