Countless monuments and princely residences around the world from Westminster in London to the golden Buddhas in Bangkok, from the palaces of the Kings of Saudi Arabia to the Opera Theatre in Paris and St Mark’s Basilica are covered with mosaics, still produced to this day in the city centre’s only kiln and founded way back in 1888.

The “colour library” is found next to the kiln, where more than 3500 hues and shades are stored and coded, including 32 varieties of the precious gold mosaic for which the company is the undisputed world leader.
